This very large Black Oak bowl came from an old Black Oak tree that fell in my back yard after a winter of heavy rains back in 2023. Once I started to cut it up it was apparent that the tree was dying with copious amount of rot on parts of the interior. What makes this bowl interesting is the contrast between the damaged wood and the solid wood. All imperfections, including a worm tunnel (had a live worm in it!) were left alone. It is big and heavy. You could use it to hold shoes by your back door or for many other household purposes. WOOD: Black Oak; SIZE: 5 1/4" Tall by 17" in Diameter; WEIGHT: 5 Pounds 7 Ounces.
