This was a really gnarly Maple Root Burl. I was able to cut most of the bumps and voids away, but left a small patch and a minor inclusion to demonstrate what it looked like at the start. The burl patterns are very interesting. It has a food safe finish, but I would not place any food in it. Think of it as a display piece.
