The wood selected to make these one-of-a kind bowls is sourced locally in Sonoma County in Northern California. If a tree or large limb has fallen down or if a tree must be removed the wood can be donated to local wood turners who give it a second life. Lately I have been using "Odie's Oil" or Shellac as a finish. Some bowls intended for food have a salad bowl finish. All finishes are food safe.
My wife, Julianne, is an artist and has offered to collaborate with me by burning designs into some of my bowls. She has done several bowls, many of which have already been sold. We are now featuring her burned bowls under their own tab below.
