This stout medium-sized Manzanita bowl has a "live edge" where the natural contour of the bark line was left intact. Because it was turned from a crotch piece the bark line dips down dramatically and three pitch centers are visible on this unique piece. It is made from a tree that burned during the October 2017 Tubbs Fire. The base burned out and the tree toppled over, but much of the wood was preserved aside from some cracks caused by the intense heat of the fire. It is rare to find large Manzanita trees available for turning. WOOD: Manzanita; DIAMETER: 7"; HEIGHT: 5"; WEIGHT: 1 Pound 2 Ounces.
