This funky Black Oak bowl took quite a bit of attention to get it to this stage. Most wood turners would have thrown it on the burn pile. Instead, I spent countless hours trying to patch and revive it. Much was an experiment with epoxy and copper coloring to see how I could enhance a bowl with it. The end result is a usable bowl with some interesting features. Julie just burned some oak leafs in the bowl and itlooks much better! Because of some remaining voids on the inside I would not use it for wet foods. Dry foods are OK. The finish is food safe. WOOD: Black Oak; DIAMETER: 10"; HEIGHT: 3 1/2"; WEIGHT: 15 Ounces.
