This spalted Maple bowl has numerous things going on. The rough turned blank sat in my shop for over five years. When I finally decided to turn it I notices several cracks that were deeper than I expected. As I was thinning it out I decided to utilize some contrasting Bubinga stitches to hold the crack in place. We now have a stable bowl with interesting spalting; grain patterns; and stitching. The finish is food safe. WOOD: Maple; SIZE: 7 1/2" Diameter by 3 1/4" Tall; WEIGHT: 8 ounces.
